Two years ago, I made a decision many developers might fear: I quit coding.

It wasn’t burnout. It wasn’t because I stopped loving tech. It was because I wanted to see the other side of the table—the business side. I took on a role as a Senior Business Analyst, stepping away from daily commits and deployments to focus on understanding the why behind the code.

And it turned out to be the best career move I’ve ever made.

As a Business Analyst, I learned that great software isn’t just about clean architecture or efficient algorithms. It’s about solving the right problems. I spent those years talking to stakeholders, digging into requirements, designing workflows, and making sure every deliverable created real business value. That experience completely reshaped the way I look at development.

But now that I’m back in coding as a Senior Software Engineer, and I don’t just write features—I write solutions.

With the driver

I joined drivers on the road to see firsthand how they used our product, giving me real insight into the end-user experience.

Business Engineering

Now, as I rejoin the tech community as a Senior Software Engineer, I bring a stronger toolkit:

  • The technical foundation to build scalable, modern applications.
  • The analytical mindset to connect features to business value.
  • The collaborative approach to work with teams, stakeholders, and customers.

Beyond

This comeback isn’t about picking up where I left off—it’s about moving forward with a sharper perspective and clearer purpose. I’m excited to dive into future projects, especially in AI-powered solutions, automation tools, and enterprise applications.

I’ll also be sharing more through leadership posts and tech blogs—not just to track my own journey, but to encourage anyone considering a career shift of their own. Let's Go!!

Sometimes, quitting isn’t the end.
Sometimes, quitting is the upgrade.
